About Owner & Chocolatier: Meredith E. Lindsay
Meredith was inspired to dive into the culinary world while working
at Abacrombie in Baltimore, MD under Sonny Sweetman. After
moving to Connecticut her culinary path included tenures at
Zinc and Scoozzi Trattoria in New Haven. Meredith’s love of all
things chocolate led her to a position at Marjolaine Pastry Shop
in New Haven where she became head baker and manager. Her
passion for sweets did not stop there. While delving further into
the chocolate medium MELT Chocolatier was born.

MELT Chocolatier was founded in 2011 by Meredith Lindsay. Our
chocolates, truffles, and confections are hand-made at our shop in New
Haven in small batches to ensure quality & freshness. We use only the finest
ingredients, including Belgian chocolate, pure extracts, and cream from
local farms. We pride ourselves in using no artificial flavors or ingredients.
We are proud to have been awarded the 2012 Grand Prize and 2014
First Place prize in the Valentine's Chocolate Festival.
