Don't have a retail establishment or resale certificate but are looking to place a large corporate or bulk order? Contact us directly and we can help!


Q: How do I become a wholesaler?

A: We wholesale our products to retail establishments for resale only, If you are a retailer, please click on "Apply Now" below to introduce yourself! You will be directed to our Wholesale Application (using Google Forms) so you can tell us a little more about your business and how you envision incorporating MELT Chocolatier. Once we receive your completed form, we'll verify your business and make sure we're a good fit. If approved, we'll provide you with access to our Wholesale menu where you may view our full menu, pricing, and place your orders online. We'll also send you a Wholesale Agreement to outline our company policies, handling and storage requirements, product shelf life information, and everything else you'll need to know to ensure a successful partnership with us. As soon as we receive your completed Wholesale Agreement, you'll be ready to go ahead and place your first order with us! 


Q: Is there a minimum to place an order?

A: Yes, there is a $100 minimum for each wholesale order. 

Q: What is your pricing?

A: After you submit a Wholesale Application and we verify your business, we will send you credentials to access the "Wholesale Menu" drop-down feature from the Wholesale page on our website. Once logged in you can view our wholesale menu featuring all of our loose and pre-packaged items, their wholesale prices and suggested retail prices.

Q: What is the shelf life of your products?

A: We take pride in using only the freshest ingredients and avoid using preservatives in all of our products. The shelf life of our products varies depending on several factors including ingredients, storage and handling, time of year and temperature considerations. Our most shelf-stable offerings include chocolate dipped pretzels, covered Oreo cookies, tree bark, haystacks, nut clusters and caramels; with shelf life ranging from 1-6 months. Our fresh, cream-based truffles are our most perishable products and are intended to be consumed within 21 days from the date of your purchase for optimal freshness. Please contact us directly for more information and so we can make recommendations that will best accommodate your needs. 


Q: How do I place an order?

A: We are pleased to provide online ordering for our wholesale accounts. All pre-approved retailers will receive login credentials for our Wholesale Shop where you can create an account, place your order, and save items for easy ordering in the future. 


Q: What is the typical production time?

A: Our standard production time is 3-5 business days. We always strive to fill orders within this same time frame during our busiest times of the year, but occasionally require increased production time during the holidays (5-8 business days). We encourage advanced orders so we can ensure our items are on your shelves when you need them!


Q: What if I need something sooner?

A: We always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests, so please contact us directly. Expedited production, shipping and delivery are available for an additional charge. 


Q: How do I receive my order?

A: We offer local delivery to all addresses within a 25-mile radius from our Milford, CT location. We offer extended delivery to addresses more than 25-miles away at our discretion and for an additional charge. We also offer pickup at our Milford, CT location during posted business hours (after hours pickup by appointment only). If you are interested in wholesale shipping, we also offer Priority Mail shipping to all US addresses. International shipping is not currently provided.


Q: Is there a local delivery fee?

A: There is a $15 local delivery fee for all addresses within a 25-mile radius from our Milford, CT location. Extended delivery to all addresses farther than 25 miles are offered when available, and delivery fees will be calculated based on time and distance.


Q: How does billing work? Do you offer consignment?

A: We accept cash, check or credit card and require payment in full at the time you place your order. We do not offer credit, monthly invoicing, or consignment at this time. 


Q: What do you offer to help me sell your products?

A: We offer pre-packaged items for easy grab-and-go sales, featuring our attractive recyclable packaging and colorful ribbons. We also offer bulk chocolates to feature in your own showcase, and are pleased to provide you with an assortment of boxes and ribbon for your staff to package on the spot. Interested in adding a countertop display case or refrigerated showcase? Please contact us directly to discuss equipment rentals or purchase from our inventory. We are pleased to offer a variety of promotional materials to help communicate about our products to your customers as well. We do our best to make sure you have an excellent product to present to your customers, and easy and successful experiences for you and your staff.

A: MELT Chocolatier is proud to be a female-owned local business specializing in small batch chocolate confections. Every wholesale order is lovingly made, packaged and delivered just for you, and we always aim to impress both you and your customers. We take pride in using the freshest ingredients and finest Belgian chocolates, and never use artificial preservatives in any of our products. We are also excited to partner with some of our favorite small businesses to source coffees and teas for use in some of our specialty products, and are always looking for new ways to expand on our community and creativity.
